I have decided to branch out this fall. When I changed directions with my business a couple of years ago, I kept doing the same arts and crafts shows I had always done. I love seeing and talking with my regular customers, but I decided to leave my comfort zone and spread the love to some new places this year.
My first show of the busy Fall season will be in Atlanta’s own Piedmont Park in September. Wanderlust 108 markets itself as a “mindful triathlon.” The core mission is to create community around mindful living. Participants complete a 5k run, join a group meditation and then take part in a huge outdoor yoga session.
This event will be full of musicians, speakers and yoga instructors. It is the perfect place to premiere my new line of yoga inspired jewelry. I am so excited to share this with you!
So, perhaps you saw the word “triathlon” and lost interest or, if you are a runner and saw “meditation & yoga,” you had your own visual image of a hippie-fest. Either way, I encourage you to visit their site and learn about this beautiful event. You do not have to be a runner or a yogi to participate and enjoy. This is about community, making friends, being around some positive vibes. My favorite answer in the FAQ section is this:
“I don’t meditate. Will that be weird?”
Answer: Probably. But it will also be great.
Perfect. Honest. Funny. I hope you will consider joining us on September 28th. A portion of your ticket price is donated to a local community charity. You get to be around cool people. And you get to check out our new designs! I would love to meet you and encourage you to fully participate while I live vicariously through you from my tent.
